2007 — 5 July: up and at 'em

Saddened though I am to learn of George Melly's death (at 80) the fact remains that I still have to drag my sorry self off to the shops to stock up on stock and soup and tea and stamps and anything else I can remember. Still, the IBM pension slip arrived today, telling me of nearly a whole £1 more than I had expected. So that's one of the stamps accounted for!

Pause, while I trot gaily forth, just ahead of what looks much like yet more rain.

She had such a good night, she tells me, that She doesn't even remember anything "though there was something at 3". I shall find out tonight, I trust.
