2006 — Day 54 - Getting back to normal
Why is it, I wonder, that every time Junior has had free rein of my machine there's so much extra "stuff" on it afterwards? And which stuff is safe to delete, do you suppose?
New work flow department
This update is coming to you courtesy of a subversion control system, an Eclipse-based IDE plugin, and a following wind. Watch this space, to see whether it, or I, get properly committed.
Oh, and I've got a local copy of Apache servering away on "localhost" and even handling SSIs (which is something I never managed to sort out for my IBM intranet [to try out stuff locally before committing it to the wider world]) but, I have to say, I am not yet used to the vagaries of the IDE. So I'm still publishing manually — that's not to say I've never succeeded in uploading files to the server, but the success seems to vary inversely with the distance of Junior. As he's now back in London, and will very shortly be on the Isle of Skye (don't ask) I may have to wait awhile to receive his promised tutorial notes.
