2013 — 25 March: Monday
Although I unwholesomely enjoyed watching a short clip of BoJo being elegantly savaged1 yesterday, I still don't think I feel any need to watch our inglorious Mayor of London in a whole documentary feature tonight.
The Times let you go after you made up a quote. Why did you make up a quote? Not a good answer.
When you were in Michael Howard's team, you denied to him you were having an affair. It turned out you were and he sacked you for that. Why did you lie to your party leader? Not a good answer.
Your friend Darius Guppy asks you to supply the address of a journalist "so that he can have him physically assaulted. The words 'beaten up' and 'broken ribs' are said to you" Not a good answer.
What should viewers make of your inability to give a straight answer to a straight question? Not a good answer.

Indeed they were:
I'm equally looking forward to the other two titles. Something, as it were, to take my mind off the unseasonal chilliness out there. I wonder if a fictionalised account of Scientology will be scarier than the stop-motion animation?
Considerably later...
Well, "The Master" is going to have to be pretty damned good to beat the other two. I think the Dickens could well become my favourite version. And "ParaNorman" is a clever hoot that works well on many different levels.
