2011 — 27 April: Wednesday

In more innocent1 times, it was still possible to see the railway line adjacent to our little patch of urban jungle. This shot is from 1982:

Christa and Peter

While I was out yesterday Geoff sent me a wondrous picture of what he assures me is a harmless grass snake swimming in a canal, and I also got a link to Chris and Gill's "titcam" in their garden. I must say, swan eggs are a tad larger!

Eggs

Which reminds me: it's 10:11 and definitely time for breakfast. Shocking!

Another two...

... entropy-reducing trips to the tip and I think I'll be able to fit the car back onto its nest each night, which will cut down the amount of pollen I have to wipe off its see-through bits. It's 12:45 and I desperately need my next cuppa.

Rome wasn't built in a day, but...

... despite having just discovered the optimum time not to drive to the tip (which is why there's one final load of stuff still in the back of the car), at least the car is now safely back in the garage...

Re-housed

And I even remembered I have to remove the radio aerial before closing the garage door.

It's 16:33 and that's quite enough "work" for one day, thank you very much. Now, about that next cuppa, Mrs Landingham?

Sufficient unto the day (Thursday, in this case) is the evil thereof. Or, in other words, uncluttering from the living room, hallway, and part of the kitchen some of the stuff brought back in from the garage. I just may possibly have a bit more stuff than I need, though the last five or six pairs of Christa's shoes will be going walkabout tomorrow... as will the surplus bits of all those faulty Staples bookshelf units.

Later

Watching the film "Genova" didn't spark any memories though I know I was driven through that port on the way down from Torino to Sestri Levante via Portofino (but then it was 46 years ago). I certainly remember Italy was warm that Easter :-)
