2011 — 3 April: Sunday

When I've drunk my cuppa1 I'll be in a better position (i.e., awake) to think about a walkies destination. I can easily delay stuffing my next pot of crock until tomorrow morning — procrastination has always worked for me, though not necessarily well. More worryingly, the BBC has just talked cheerily about the increasing likelihood of "downpours" as the day ages.

The sounds of silence

Meanwhile, having now relocated2 one of my spare amps (the Denon CD/tuner/amp from the early 1990s that was the study system's heart) near Blackbeast, along with a spare minidisc recorder (the one I bought three years ago), all I need to know is why I can't persuade an analogue "peep" out of Blackbeast to have local audio out of what were the rear surround speakers. Yes, I know I've got digital audio out, and successfully routed to the main audio system, but sometimes a chap just wants a little bit of local audio too.

Where's the harm in that? Grrr.

New Alresford, here we come. The sun is actually shining right now.

Phew!

Despite having by then had a reasonable burst of exercise and fresh air for the day — a very pleasant stroll of a little under six miles around one of our well-established routes (as here, on the day I learned what a ramekin is) — I also took myself offline this afternoon while moving a cubic metre or so of stuff, not entirely satisfactorily, around in the living room.

It's now 18:00 and (as well as being ravenous) I've only just discovered that Mike sent over three photos I took today with his trusty Nikon. I will get to them in due course. I need another cuppa first! And yet more food.

Footnotes

1  As of 08:38 it's still a bit too hot.
2  What I actually meant yesterday by "tiny tidy-up". (What did you think I meant? Using the mini Dyson?)
