2007 — 12 September: what can one say?

Today's conversation with the oncologist confirmed what was said some time ago. Given the disappointing results of the chemo-therapy, we have moved from the realm of the potentially curative (always a long shot) to the purely palliative. We must simply concentrate on keeping Christa's pain under control, and doing whatever we can with this course of radiation to shrink some of the main tumour (the main cause of the pain).

Christa adds: if you owe me any money, now would be a good time to pay up!

She did have a twinkle in her eye.
