2007 — 11 September: brief update
Yesterday's GP visit added an anti-inflammatory med and a large wodge of repeat prescriptions. My goal now is to start Christa smoothly on the course of radiation therapy, which kicks off tomorrow morning. I hope (and would pray if I believed it would do any good) that the main tumour will run shrieking from the X-rays. Or, better, shrivel up and disappear.
Pain is under better control, though sitting remains virtually impossible. We remain optimistic, however, for some worthwhile improvement.
Thank you, Jane and Mary (in the Wessex) for your kindness and good wishes, and Peter for the last-minute lift up there yesterday.
This afternoon
Channel 4 is showing another Anthony Asquith wartime film: Cottage to let. Looks very promising from the cast list, I must say.
