2006 — Day 58 - the last of 2006

Jonathan Stroud's The Amulet of Samarkand turned out to be a delightful tale. Here's the official site; the next two tales will be my next two reads I suspect. Such well-written material was a lot less abundant when I was more nearly the target age, it seems to me. Perhaps I should give it a whirl?

The final letter to Mater for 2006 awaits snail mail posting (though it's up on the web already, of course). Just time to gulp my cuppa, therefore, before setting off into the unseasonably warm (10 C) late morning great outdoors. Fresh air — bah, humbug!
