2015 — 14 November: Saturday

I wasn't terribly surprised1 to get an email postponing the arrival of my young visitors. I'm not going anywhere :-)

Actually...

... that reminds me: my passport is now on its last legs. Christa arranged my current one back in August 2005. It contains not a single border-crossing 'stamp'. Its only use2 in the last decade has been on dear Mama's behalf to "prove" my identity to solicitors for the purpose of assisting guvmint interactions with the people who:

Had she realised where her money went, the shock would have killed her. Another of "Life's little ironies".

Having just folded...

... and put away — not ironed, note — seven T-shirts, and five Polo shirts, and idly wondered just how many times I've done that mind-numbing task in the past eight years, I can now turn to either or both the stuffing of the next crockpot and the next breakfast. Or just make another cuppa. Domestic (un)bliss. Meanwhile, I've "stock-checked" my way through 14 (and a half) of my current "in-use" set of 18 CaseLogic folders for DVD and Blu-ray storage. The data entry stage has yet to come.

Given the recent global financial...

... shenanigans, I thought it time to re-visit this musical drama documentary, for which Lapham wrote the 'screenplay':

The American Ruling Class

I last saw it late one evening when 'retirement' was still minty-fresh. But I didn't press "Record" until it was too late. [Pause] I've been told I'll be taken straight out to lunch. So that's ¬TANSTAAFL two days running. Excellent.
