2014 — 1 December: Monday — rabbits!
Fingers crossed that my Texan ISP finally flips the switches1 that will allow 'molehole' back on the air, as it were.
Watch this space :-)
Fascinating...
... to hear Bruce Lacey. He's the chap who, among very much else, did some of the effects for the performing fleas in Michael Bentine's lunatic "It's a Square World". (Link.)
It wasn't until...
... checking in "Send me no flowers" (and recalling Groucho Marx's remark that he'd known Doris Day before she was a virgin) that I belatedly realised that of my four films with Rock Hudson in, none is "Ice Station Zebra". How can that be? Ordering a Blu-ray of that also sent me stumbling across a Blu-ray of "The Final Countdown". Still, it's nearly time for the next dollop of IBM pension.
Meanwhile, the latest issue of Ansible sent me over to Ursula K LeGuin's website. No bad thing.
Having tested...
... both the power supply and the amplifier, separately, Brian has given both a clean bill of health. Which raises the question "What the hell actually failed up in the reading room?" Still, it was an excuse to buy a nice new toy. Also no bad thing.
