2010 — Picture sequence from Big Bro
Smaller solar system planets:
Solar system's gas giants:
Our local star:
Other, larger, stars:
Really large stars:
Antares is the 15th brightest star in our sky, and quite close — a mere 1,000 light years away. (The Andromeda galaxy that is somewhat similar to our Milky Way galaxy is some 2,000,000 light years away.) The last two images he sent over are from Hubble's ultra deep field infra-red views of local and more distant clusters of galaxies.
I had no problems with the images, just the silly bits of cod philosophy that accompanied them.
